If your frame isn't to bad I got this info from 53modelkhd some time ago. I have talked to Mike and he sounds like a straight shooter although I have not had any frames straighted by him. I do plan to as I have a 64 thats bent. Just a thought.

Are you sure you have a Sporter frame ?

K Model frames don't have the flattened section just behind the top motor mount that was put in for clearance for the sportetr rocker covers.

Show us a picture of your frame neck casting. The K Model is much shorter on the top side than the Sportster frame.

Frame casting number will tell you anyway.

Yup, see your problem now.

This can be straightened. It may not be as cheap as buying another frame though.

On the plus side if you have your frame straightened you know it's OK> When buying another frame you can't be sure it doesn't have issues also. I hd my 62 straightened earlier this year and the costs was about $400 USD.
But I no know I have a straight frame. A LOT of frames take hits over the years and to be honest weren't that straight when they cam out of the factory. There are tolerances for everything.

Check your swing arm as well. They aren't really strong enough and a LOT of the ones that have come through my hands have been bent.

The FSM has enough information to get the frame back into shape.

The top motor mount on the frame says it’s an XL frame.
A couple of thoughts. Are the front motor mounts installed correctly?
It may be a case of a K rear motor mount on the XL cases .
I couldn’t tell from the pics.
I’ve had rear motor mounts not line up, but nowhere as far off as shown in the picture.
Try bolting the rear, top, and front mounts in that order.
