Can you experts tell if it looks all original...as much as you can see anyway. Any non-standard items seen?

I think the vin number is way to high for a 58 XLCH

in 58 only 237 XLCH's were made. All had no headlight or taillights.

I contacted the seller last time the bike was listed and had him send me some pictures of the belly numbers. The motor had 59 belly numbers.

Google 1958 XLCH there are many pics out there.

As for this 58, it aint no 58.

Thanks, I was thinking the same (not a pure 58) but I have only been digging into the old Sportsters for less than a year and I wanted to be sure.
