Looking for copies of Sportster dealer order forms 1960, 1961, 1962 and 1963. Photocopies would be fine. Looking for information regarding alloy rim availability.

Don’t have the book, so can’t verify this, but believe the documents you seek are in the book ”The Legend Begins: Harley-Davidson Motorcycles 1903-1969”.

The early ally rims have a -60 part number indicating they were available for that year.
Pretty sure they offered bot front and rears in steel or alloy both 28: and 18"

There's also a -61R part number for the race bikes.

The -60 rims were available in June of 1960 one month before production of the 1961 "R" models began.
The -60 alum rims were not listed in the 1960 parts supplement to the Sportster parts book or any of the 1960 brochures or accessory catalogs hence the search for the order forms.
