1967-69 rear shocks

I’m restoring a 69 xlch and the top muffler on the interconnected exhaust hits the shock bottoms. I assume my shocks are high ground clearance because they measure 14.5” 54504-67. I know they also come in standard but I can’t find them. Are my shocks the correct length or are they later model shocks?

from '67 on the shocks and forks were high ground clearance only , but the shock length wouldn't solve the problem superquiet mufflers are just too fat. maybe try tweeking the bracket

14 1/2" all XLCH and all '67 and later XLH
