1953 KK Restoration Help

Postby elliot9797 » Thu Feb 28, 2019 2:27 pm

I am in the process of locating all of the info needed to help me with a couple parts of my KK Restoration. I have been through the technical section, as well as the forums and I still am falling short.

1. Does anyone have a proper wiring routing diagrams?

Also:

2. I am looking for Hardware Information such as which bolts are marked CP 1035, unmarked, etc.

I am wanting to build this as a 98+ Point Restoration, and I do have all of the correct/hard to find parts for this bike. I'm sure I will have some more questions, and I am rather new to the forum.

Thanks!
Elliot

Elliot, The Harley Davidson Model K Riders Hand Book has a wiring Diagram on page 54. Also check out this post, viewtopic.php?f=8&t=892&p=6366#p6366 It is the wiring from an original paint 1954 KH. It would be the same for your KK.

As far as the head bolt markings. I don't think anybody is going to lay down a list of all the markings on bolts for you as that would require a great deal of work. If you want to know about specific bolts, ask. I have a '53 KK that I believe is pretty correct so should be able to help with some specific items.
