My opinion is put Firestone tires on your bike balance them with Counteract and don't care and worry about Judging and get out and enjoy riding your antique ride not just showing it and telling every body what you have in the garage at home. That is what I did for years with my 10 antique Harleys Shows events and just riding around in circles through the country roads in the Northeast LOL

Lisa, you state to use Counteract to balance your tires.
Are these the "bead" type of balancing? Will they work with tubes?

Shinko makes a Super Eagle copy, "E270". Don't think they come in 3.50-18", but they run a little small in size so you could probably get away with 4.00. I have a 4.50-18" on my bike & it's actually more like a 4.00...

I am looking for tires for my 59XLH and I like that thread pattern but it almost seems sacrilegious to have Shinko on the sidewall of all our pride and joys!!!

I have mounted the shinko in 4.00-18" on the original steel rims. Width is 104mm or 4.1" at the widest point -- not sure what the width of the original super eagle would be. Anyway, it is very close when using the original 59 XLH fender.

Yes they work with tubes as well as tubeless and they can be recovered in tubeless with a small hand vacuum and used over in a new tubeless tire. I did it with my S10 pickup when I put new tires on. Can't beat balance beads for a true balance at all speeds. Different strokes for different folks - some like looking at ugly weights that don't do the job...

My original 3.50 x 18 Goodyear Super Eagles measure 3.7" on the original rims at the widest part so not too far off.
