Trade - Battery Carrier, have late,need early

Hi folks,

I'm just re-starting work on the 54 KH, and I need to trade my 66224-52B battery carrier (1956-1964) for a 66224-52 (1952-1954). Here are some photos of my later one (bead-blasted and primer). Anyone got an early one they'd like to trade?

I also need one of the 66404-52 Battery Tie Rod, and the 66375-52 Battery Cover. Will purchase outright.

Yes Virginia, there was a 66224-52A Battery Carrier. It is listed in the 1955 Parts Supplement. Also listed there is 66404-54 left bolt (the one with the pin). So, the elusive -52A must have looked quite similar to the -52B with the raised leg, but something was different. And it was only used for 1 year (or less), on the 1955 KH. If anyone has one of these rare birds, it'd make an interesting Technical article.

sorry i dont have the one your after ,but heres a pic of the one that came with my 52 k...no extra hole for the third tie rod and no arm...so wondering is mine a -52 or a -52a?

Hi All,
Dave's post got me checking my Battery Carriers and to my surprise there is a difference in the later ones that I hadn't noticed. I believe the image shown below probably depicts the 66224-52 A & B versions. If you look at the indent at the tops and the protrusions at the bottoms you can see they are clearly different. Tomorrow I need to look at my early carriers for the 52-54Ks to see which one of the two I have shown is the -52A and which one is the -52B. If someone has them handy to check it would save me some running around.
