H-D standard old time procedure. Patrick's cutter is much better than the ones they show to make. Three blades cut much better than one! Erik K

Besides serial # the KHK had the outer sides of the heads polished from the factory. K, KH and KHK heads are all different. K heads have stamped in serial numbers and different cooling fin pattern. KH heads have a raised cast serial number and are a completely different casting. KHK heads are factory machined for higher lift cams and flow. Erik K

Mike, I'm glad to hear you got your 55 started. Those healthy cams you notice mean it probably has the KHK cams in it. Good luck and enjoy riding it. I wouldn't worry about any restoration right off, enjoy it and you can always make it more Korrect if and when you find original parts. The small and large missing or incorrect parts are really hard to find these days. Welcome aboard, Erik K
