Whats the correct color for k model cylinders black or silver and does the year make a difference

All street Ks should have Silver Cylinders. KRs I do not know for sure. Many people saw the black cylinders on Elvis's Bike and thought that has to be right, but that was a rebuild error. Clean them thouroughly grease and oil free and warm them some to about 100 degrees and hit them with high heat silver barby paint. Erik K
