Curious about re-bushing front fork sliders. I assume its pretty basic to make some half-moon thingies and some all-thread to pull out the old bushings. But is the big deal the giant reamer to size the bushings once they are pressed in? I have never seen a sunnen hone that long. Can you cut teeth into an old fork tube to use as a reamer?
And wino that I am, is there some half-a$$ed way to stuff maybe a lower bushing along side of the one in there, assuming it is a bear to get the old bushings out.
I have three sets of sliders, including the ultra-rare 1953 Solo option cadmium plated ones, so it would be nice to tighten them up.
Hey, how about using one of those butterfly drywall anchors to push down the slider, snap open and yank the bushing out? If I could rig a slide hammer to really gall things up it would be great.
