As far as I know, they didn't make an electric start until the next decade. I may have seen this guy's ad a couple months ago claiming they made this for Marlon Brando after he hurt his leg. Is this guy disillusioned? Can that setup just be bolted on from a later year Sportster?

I saw the cases on ebay before the rebuild,there were no takers due to concerns about whether it would work or not. Personally,I feel if he is 78 years old and built this,my money is on it working. My only concern would be wanting to know who did the welding and machining,in case there was ever a problem. If I had the money and the time,I'd get after it just for the pure yankee "I can do that" factor.
