Looking at a set of cases used on a KR. Cases used by a National Champion. Right case crankcase numbers are 555-1524 with casting number 24558-52R. Left crankcase has a KR serial number with crankcase numbers of 758-46, casting number of 24534-54R and a date code of 5.58. Any thoughts?

Raced hard, blown, patched back together and raced again?

Hi Bill,
The left belly 758-46 sounds near enough like a Sportster belly, code 7 and 1958... But also fits the casting code nicely!!!
Serial 46 however sounds like race stamp, usually 2 or 3 digits with no code or date hidden within...
Are there cases Fred's?

Not Fred's.
Left case has a KR serial number, R casting number, and what appears to be a sportster crankcase machining number.

No help here but my 1955 KHR LHS case had a 54R casting number and belly number of 55-97.
