60002-55 CLAMP BOLT, license plate bracket

The 60002-55 CLAMP BOLT, license plate bracket is a very common item, used on 1956-1969+ But what the heck does does it look like?

And while I'm wondering, what's the difference between a 59999-55 License plate bracket support and the -55A which first appeared in the 1958 Parts Catalog Supplement ??

It's a bolt with 2 flats under the head so it won't turn when it's in the adjustable slot...
