Key Switch Cover option

Postby EKHKHK56 » Thu Feb 21, 2019 5:06 pm

Back in the 90s I made a Dash Cover replica prototype. Using 48 Chevy Truck Door Lock Covers and the No Hole Repop Top Dash. The holed ones have large hole for later 59? up XL Speedometers. I drilled this cover to the smaller K 57 58 Speedo. Than I hand filed S slots for Key Covers. Drilled first holes in wrong spot you can see, bottom of left one. Hello. Haha. Got excited. So the Chevy ones will drop in and function in original Top Panels. They retain the spring with a screw instead of tabs.

Here is where spring attaches. Chevy on top uses Screw to retain. K on bottom uses Tabs to retain. These are broken in photo. Erik
