Generator oil separator

Postby Mark.A » Sat May 02, 2020 4:05 pm

Hey I just had a question about the oil separator bushing and spring on my 58xl is any part of the generator touch this part. My generator a12 volt only has the gear on it. Looking at later parts books show a washer on the end of the generator. What does that washer do should I add one and does it touch the bushing as it is spring loaded

This is all spelled out in the technical generator section (see link below). The large separator washer (31067-63) is to be used with an aluminum tap in bushing (25265-63) in the cam cover, not the spring-loaded separator bushing (25265-52).

Hey Strong 56KH thanks for the reply I had looked at the technical section before and didn’t make since of it. After what you said I see it now. Not going to replace 25287-37 and 25265-52 with 25265-63 at this time so just wondering if putting a washer on the generator makes any different
