Headlight Tin Fork Cover

Postby Zaemo » Mon Jan 11, 2016 3:56 pm

I can not tell what the two screws under the headlight are threaded into? I can't find a real picture of the 67817-52 Headlamp mount bolt. It appears to be female threaded into the bolt cap as well? Can that be right? The aftermarket tin set has a stainless piece that joins the two halves there under the lamp yet I don't see that bridge piece on any other bikes.

The bolt head is threaded. Most bikes missing that seems like. There is a good picture of the behind the tins in the K Riders Handbook. Erik K

Aha! Thanks Eric. I'll be looking for that handbook in a minute.

Another quick one, the U shaped bracket that holds the ignition/light switch........ is that mounted under or over the tree tab?

Thanks again,

Z

Under the tree. Screws on bottom pointed up.

That's where I was headed. The top dash wouldn't fit correctly otherwise and I had no reference between the top of the fork tube, the speedo and the switch.

Thanks again for your help,
