Are You Anagramatically Experienced?

Postby hennesse » Tue Jul 26, 2016 10:23 pm

Jimi Hendrix asked "Are You Experienced?"

Can you spot anything wrong with this snippet from the 1954 K-KH Spare Parts Catalog? Has Harley ever been experienced?

Yep. I wonder if they did this in the 1953 or 1956 catalogs. Or whether this was a one-time experience.

I'm getting my 1954 KH front end together, and was looking at the Terminal Plate in the 54 parts book. How many times have I looked through this book and never caught this?

It's been awful quiet on the website lately - I'm glad to see that at one other person isn't at the beach or mountains and still playing with their motorcycles...

Maybe the Spare Parts Catalogue proof reader had just returned from holidays in 1954? Cheers Hayley.

Hayley,

Isn't it now the middle of winter down under? Why aren't you out in your shed rubbing motorcycle parts together to keep warm?

Yes Dave - cold as witches tit here in Victoria - but I have been polishing the rust on my '37 Norton. Keeps your hand warm. New gear box bearings and bushes, new valves, fixed the decompressor and reconditioned the dynamo (Lucas job AKA prince of darkness generator). One kick to prime, one kick to chime - keep them ol' dogs barking. Have been skidding around on my XL1200R. Not too cold if you're wearing the right gear. Summer or Winter I ride. Heater in the shed and cool fizzy drinks in the fridge when you're finished with the spanners. Life is good when you ride motorcycles. Cheers Hayley.
