Re that Frame/Cardboard box, and off on a slight tangent: I'm in the far north of Australia, a place called Cairns, on the tropical coast. I have a '74 XLH which I'm retro styling to resemble a 1967 model. Forgive me for that, there's hope yet I may end up with the genuine article. I never realised there was such a group of dedicated (and jovial) fanatics until I joined this site. I recently found out just how many older parts are available on ebay (fleecebay?) for pre'70's Sportsters. I'm in touch with an ebay "Hobbyist" who has no less than 14 frames, 14 motors and shelves full of dismantled engines/other parts. He is only one of several similar sellers. It concerns me that so many Sportys are being dismantled for extra profits, but sadly I guess it's an opportunity for people like me to assemble one piece by piece. My reason for all the chatter is: What is a reasonable price to pay for a mid 60's frame and a side issue is how much is a reasonable '60's XLCH motor worth (assuming it's not blown up or got cracked cases)? And if I sound like a completely brainless novice, please correct my direction constructively
