We ran Iron XRs and first year Alloy XRs on dirt.
The oiling system can be reworked to be very eficiant at continuous hi rpm.
The ultimate answer was released in 1974 with the mini-sump.

I have 3 engines on my bench currently that do not wet sump.
Of course, once I put oil in then they will.

It can be fixed. Really requires a shaft seal to be installed.

You got it Tom's repair to correct it. Inner cover with seal installed does the trick. Sold on E Bay Complete modified pumps and inner covers with seals installed.

I have Tom's pump on my KHK. When we get the bike assembled and back on the road, I hope my prior wet-sumping days are behind me. For years, I put a clamp on my oil line to keep the oil in the tank and out of the sump when the '56 KHK sat for an appreciable period of time.

Coolbreeze wet sump in fact will be over guaranteed. No more kicking over with a lower end full of 60 weight oil making it harder to start and best of all NO more mess on the floor to clean up....

Lisa, Tom,

Ok, instead of beating around the bush.....

What is the process you use to fix the wet sump, and what is the price???

Pics and detail would help.
