The Corbin reproduction -54 seat has a narrower bolt pattern. Michael Breeding makes a very nice reproduction bracket available with either stock Harley or Corbin drilling.

After reading about Mike Breeding's reproduction seat brackets on this site I ordered one for my aftermarket seat. Did not think about it having a different bolt pattern. Seat is 6 5/16ths. After reading the post yesterday about him making 2 different sizes I contacted him about exchanging it. This was his reply. (All of the plates were laser cut and are the same dimensions. 2 OEM seats I measured and the most common reproduction seat were all different hole spacings. I had to take my best guess.) I guess he only makes one size. Bracket looks to be a very nice repop but is hanging on my wall and not on my 59 XLH.

" OK guys, apologies for my previous post. As my wife loves to remind me , I was wrong ! After checking dimensions on my aftermarket solo (Corbin?) , it has the wider drilling. The specs on the OEM seats and T bars I have are approximately 6 5/16. Sorry for muddying the waters!

Back to my original question about the hole spaceing of the holes on HD solo seats for sportster and K's Did HD have different spaceing on different years or batches of seats. It sounds like Roadbum has one that won't fit the seat he has.The one i have won't fit the seat i have .I actually need the T shaped one used on 65-70 seat like Dr Dick's blue 66 anyone up for a trade

Factory K seats 1952 part 53 have 10" span between rear bolts. 1954 and later are 6 1/2"
