- The rims are optional alloy. The rear tire is NOS and the front is either NOS or very low miles. .
- The motor and transmission had never been apart
- The extremely rare rear fender, rear exhaust pipe and Tillotson HD1B carburetor are one year only items.
- The bottom end was in acceptable limits but the standard bore cylinders were bored.010"oversized.
- The transmission was within factory limits but all of the clutch seals needed replacement as did the clutch assembly.
- The motor cases, cam, sprocket covers and rocker boxes were cleaned, media blasted and washed with sodium hydroxide to return the casting patina to the motor, the belt sanding marks were highlighted with a small wire wheel in a Dremel tool, machining marks were highlighted with a small sanding disk in the Dremel.
- The heads and cylinders were painted with hi temp aluminum paint and baked to prevent deterioration.
- The plug wires were replaced but the original HD boots on both ends were used.
- The polished aluminum rims and brake parts were too shiny, and were clear coated with a special metal coating material from POR 15 to get them to appear as they were new from the factory.
