Looking for a reasonable, trustworthy firm to replate my 56 KHK rims and a couple other parts.

I've used Quality Plating in Sterling, Il. about a half dozen times.

I used Advance Plating in Portland TN. Great job in reconditioning several items including two original Harley KH rims that were moderately rusted. Trumpet horn, headlamp, headlamp ring, front nescelle were dented and warped, tail lamp cover was pitted a little as were the shock caps. Everything came out beautifully. I was very impressed. Owner was nice to chat with and has his own Bonneville Salt Flat cars on display. Not necessarily cheap, but the craftsmanship is outstanding. I used a local Harley dealer to mount new tires, several folks in service group commented on the chrome on the rims. The Parts Manager even commented on how they looked better than OEM rims. Oh, and when the items were shipped back to me they were very carefully wrapped, cushioned and well protected to avoid any shipping damages. I did drop the parts off myself to get a feel for the facility. Nice new modern special built facility.

Brown's has been closed for years. We used them almost exclusively back in the mid 70s through 90s.

Apparently, they no longer do wheels/rims.
