The seat parts look really good in the pictures but I'm pretty sure there should be two brass bushings in the " Seat Bar Bolt, Spacer, and Bushing Kit" The parts books only show one but it's not so. Every T bar that I have has two bushings in it. The bushings should cover the entire length of the Spacer and to do so requires two bushings. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong

I believe that the bronze bushing supplied does go in the tee bar and if needed two would be required . Of those tee bars that I have all of the bushings are serviceable, so I really see very little need (if any) for that bushing. Correct?

Curious...Do you Colony pricing expectation to share? I machined/built my own parts for my latest build because I could not find original pieces. This is an exciting update .

I have had a few T bars through the years that didn't have any bushings left in them at all. If that happened to be your case you would need both bushings. It seems to me if you are going to supply one bushing in the package why not supply two since that is what it takes, if you needed them.

I'll pass the word to Colony on the bushings. They may sell them individually if you need more that one.

I don't have prices on the newly released five new parts but the plate that holds the springs is selling on line for $33 (with CP1038 bolts) and the springs are $48.

I understand that the -52 spacer that goes between the seat tee and the front seat mount is in work. With that and the -54 seat tee available from Michael Breeding (Mikes Indian Parts) we now have extremely high, restoration quality replacement parts for the OEM "unobtainium" parts for our K and early XL's.

I have seen the prices for some of the parts. Not high, compered to what you find on Epray and the like for second hand.
But for those of us in the know (The other Forum) MrMom9R makes a complete kit (Including T-bar and sells them to forum member for under $200 (last time I saw a price). I believe his parts are stainless steel and the springs are adjustable for pre load (some riders are 97 lbs and others like me tip the scales at over 200)
I hven't bought from either source yet but considering MrMom's in the near future.

I have just received a sample of the last of the new solo saddle parts from Colony, see attached photo. They have reproduced the the front of the tee spacer and provided the three CP 1038 mounting bolts.
Spread the word and drop them a line of thanks.

I have also included a photo of the excellent -54 seat tee that Michael Breeding (Mikes Indian Parts, Santa Fe NM) reproduces. With all of the Colony solo saddle mounting parts and Mike's seat tee, we now have all of the restoration quality parts available to mount the solo saddles on our K Model and early Sportsters.

I went to Graingers and bought Raymond part #106424 (6” x 3/4”) and Raymond part #304412D (3” x 3/4”) springs. The compression feels very similar to the V Twin springs i compared them to and work perfect for my 150 lb. weight. Set me back $28 for all 4 springs.

Thanks to Colony Hardware for adding this seat hardware! I had a few items that i didn't realize were aftermarket. This hardware allowed me to get the right stuff and the prices were decent!

Keep it up Colony!
