Hi,

When I bought my KHK in 1987, it had two of these dome add on tops fitted on top of the top nut.

Deffo made for these forks, with small indents to locate in nut breather hole plus another hole further up for breathing.

It had both but I lost one on the road a long time ago, so just this one left.

It's made in stainless steel so suggest it is OEM, I can't see suppliers being bothered that much with the longevity of their supplies!!!

Has anybody else seen any of these funky things?

Cheers from Patrick

Logging still not sorted, Dave???

Those are caps for the '49 breather upgrade to the newly introduced Hydra-Glide forks for Big Twins. They are part of a kit to retrofit early forks without breathers. They are raised like that to clear the top nut breather which was consequently redesigned and used through the end of the USA made fork. Never a K or Sportster part.

Hi Rubone,

Thanks for the update...

These do look quite nice on a K or Sportster anyway!!!

Ride safe,
