Definitely not. Belly #s start with a 5. The VIN pad has been welded up and machined and stamped with correct stamps. The case is obviously an XL as it has Ribs by VIN pad. Erik

The belly numbers look a little tampered to me but that could just be the picture. Look for a casting date on the inside of the camchest. I think you have a set of 72 cases where the second "7" in the belly prefix was replaced with a 5 to make it all "match." However, whoever did it didn't know enough to know K model prefix begins with 5, not 7.

Normally a 52K would have a 552 xxxx Belly stamp. A 56 would have a 555 or 556 stamp. The vin pad has welding done, nice job but you can see the color difference in the aluminum and air bubbles that formed welding. 1957 was first year for cases with the Cooling Fins cast on by Timing Hole. I can’t say if 752# is an XL one I only know Ks. Here are my OP52K #s. Well I have to downsize first. Erik I think Belly numbers may have been worked also.

As mentioned in earlier posts, it's not a K at all, you have a Sportster with a bad VIN.
This means that the link in which the title in your name is proof that you own the bike with that VIN is severed.
If the wrong people see it you may lose the entire bike (not just the engine).

The hole more likely indicates a broken primary chain.

There will be a casting date code on both halves unless they are -57 cases.
On the left case half it should be just above and in the middle of the primary chain run.
On the right case half it's just near the genny hole.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings, I just hate to see someone going forward on a project of dubious legality.
The giveaway was the -72 stamp on the cylinder base flange: can't be anything but 1000cc XL cylinders.
Many of the engine parts have good sale value even w/o the cases: flywheels, cylinders, cams, cam cover, oil pump, entire trap door and gears, clutch, engine sprocket, assembled rocker boxes with internals. There are lots of 1957-76 XL that have worn, missing, incorrect basket cases and need that stuff. Others here can suggest some prices?
I hate to offer dangerous advice, but the title is still worth something, there are even people who collect them. What use is made of it? Although sale of a title (without the bike) may violate local law, it's not my concern.
